6, 2005To All Vernon Family Members, Malcolm Thomson, father of Gary, Rene and Nikki-Ann and ex husband of Beverly, lost his fight with cancer the morning of December 3rd. at 5:38am @ UHWI. Fortunately, his three children were in attendance to pray with him as he made his final stand against the cancer. The Funeral services for will be held on Saturday December 10th @ 10 a.m. at the St. Augustine Anglican Church in Coral Gardens, Montego-Bay. Prayers & Love to them and their Family, Tony November 20, 2005 To whomever receives this email, I am not entirely sure how to begin this email and I have tried several times unsuccessfully. So, the only way I can do this is to just begin. My father, Dr. Garth Taylor, daughter of Gwen Taylor (nee Vernon) tragically passed away just after 6:30am on Saturday November 19th. I will not lie, these are frighteningly difficult times for us, and they will continue to be so for quite some time. This is a daunting fact. Despite this, we are greatly encouraged by the outflow of love, compassion, respect, and support we have received from our family and friends. The roots of this family run deep, and we are relying heavily on the strength of our family tree for support. We have received dozens, perhaps literally hundreds, of calls of condolences within the last day or so... even from Jamaica's Prime Minister himself. Even so, it goes without saying that these are troubling times for our family. I am writing this email to pass on some information regarding the memorial services. Both the wake and the funeral service will be held in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada. The Wake will be held between 2-4pm and 7-10pm on both Thursday November 24th and Friday November 25th. These will be at: Lahae & Sullivan Funeral Homes (West Branch) 20 Seventh Street West (613) 932-8482 The funeral service will be held at 11am on Saturday November 26th at: St. Peter's Parish Church 2900 Second Street East (on the left hand side of the road when driving East) (613) 938-3100 These are the details as they stand. We have still to arrange many other things, including the location of the reception following the funeral, but I believed it was essential to send out the basic information now in case anyone wanted to make arrangements to come. More information can be found sometime on Tuesday on the website of the funeral home (www.lahaiesullivan.com) Again, these are troubling times. As such, my sincerest hope is that this information reaches all of our family and friends, and finds them healthy, happy, and well. Please join me in keeping her remaining family in our prayers. Love To All, Tony November 1, 2005 Hi Everyone, It has been decided that we should have our family reunion in Kissimmee, FL from August 11-13, 2006. I am getting various quotes on packages for the weekend, which will include hotel and entertainment. I would greatly appreciate suggestions from everyone to make this reunion a great success. I am looking forward in hearing from you all. Thanks, Colin October 14, 2005 Hi Everyone, It's been along time since we had our last family reunion. There have been suggestions that we should plan a reunion next summer (2006) some where in North America, considering that many of our family members are here in North America.
